Sword/Shield Rebel Clash products

The new Sword and Shield(Rebel Clash) set was just recently announced along with some new products featuring the new set.

The first set of products I want to talk about are the theme decks. These theme decks are based around Zamazenta and Zacian. The Zacian card may see a tiny bit of play in some metal decks, as it has a solid hp of 120 and it can accelerate energy to itself. The zamazenta card probably has very little competitive viability but in my opinion the card has better artwork. Overall these decks look great for new players, as both zacian and zamazenta look pretty cool.

The second set of products are the 3-pack blisters and the checklane packs. The 3-pack blisters will give either a Duraludon or a Rayquaza promo card along with three Rebel Clash packs. The Duraludon seems way better than the Rayquaza, since it can hit for 150 for four energy. This card may be played in decks like Adp, which gives more damage and accelerates energy. Rayquaza, on the other hand, probably won’t see any play in the competitive scene. The checklane packs showcase Mantine and Noctowl. The mantine won’t really see much play, but the noctowl most certainly will. Noctowl has the ability to put one of your opponents benched pokemon into their deck. Noctowl has already seen some success in Japan, as a rogue deck. Overall I really like the Noctowl and Duraludon packs, but if you the money go ahead and buy the mantine and rayquaza too.

The final product is the elite trainer box. This time it is featuring Copperajah-VMax as the cover artwork. This trainer box contains the usual eight boosters, dice, sleeves, and card dividers. If you are a collector and just want some packs I highly suggest this box.
